The Pursuit Of HappynessOkay I repeat the name, The Pursuit Of Happyness, a film very close to my heart. A film with many reasons. This is only because this film can relate to many people round the globe. We know that each and every individual is in the pursuit of happiness.
If we discuss it further, we will say that this world is running with a system. But this system include some powers that are hidden. The little drops of water that are making the entire ocean. The individuals with a power. The people like labors, gardeners, cleaners, salesmen etc. But we do not know the real struggle they face. Do we?
Those people are always in search of happiness and freedom to live. Nothing can be achieved without any struggle. Just to let us know the real struggle they face, this film was released in 2006.
The story revolves around a homeless salesman. The most exciting part is that the film is based on a true story of a man who struggled hard to achieve his ambition.
A man named Christopher Gardner. Gardner has invested heavily in a device known as a "bone density scanner". He feels like he has it made selling these devices. However, they do not sell well as they are marginally better than x-ray at a much higher price. As Gardner works to make ends meet, his wife leaves him and he loses his apartment. Forced to live out in the streets with his son, Gardner continues to sell bone density scanners while concurrently taking on an unpaid internship as a stockbroker, with slim chances for advancement to a paid position. Before he can receive pay, he needs to outshine the competition through 6 months of training, and to sell his devices to stay afloat.
The plot of the film leaves a message for the people struggling for so long and not achieving their goal, the film says this is the right time to work hard and wait for the plant to grow so that it give you the fruit you deserve depending on your struggle. Will Smith got a Best Actor Award after this film.
"Don't ever let someone tell you that you can not do something. Not even me. You got a dream, you gotta protect it. When people can't do something themselves, they are gonna tell you that you can't do it. You want something, go get it."
-Will Smith.
